Memorial Day Closure:
CDT will be closed May 25-28th in observance of Memorial Day. This closure is already factored into you your tuition so your amount will not change.

Break-a-leg-o- grams:
This year CDT is excited to offer you the chance to give your dancer a positive message in our performance program. “Break-a-leg-o-grams” include a short message and cute magic themed icon. All messages are $5 each see the desk or click here to download the order from. Orders will not be accepted after May 31st.

Photo day: Quick reminder about class photos on May 18 & 19th. Click here for the schedule and more specific hair, make up and etc, here.

Costumes: As
costumes arrive instructors will be handing them out in class. These need to be
tried on immediately so if there is a problem we can contact the manufacture in
time. Many costumes come with some minor work still needing to be done, such as
shoulder straps needing to be sewn or a flower decoration needing to be sewn
onto the front. Often pants are all WAY too long and have to be hemmed.  CDT is proud to provide Alise Christensen, the CDT seamstress, to assist with these minor alterations. She will be available M- TH from 5-8pm June 4-7th (except Tuesday from 6-8pm only). She will be in the lobby with her sewing machine and can help those who need it on
a first come first serve basis.  Safety pins are a great option for picture day!

Hocus Pocus information:
If you haven’t looked already, visit the performance page of the website to locate your child’s show and dress rehearsal time. This information is also posted at the studio. Tickets will be on sale May 31st! $10 pre-sale, Limit 10 per family until June 7th. Don’t forget your DVD pre-order forms are available on the website. This year videos will be
shipped directly to your house!

Summer dance camps and classes: Please join us this summer for some great camps and classes. Those that are planning on participating in the Nutcracker next fall are highly encouraged to take class to maintain the flexibility and skill levels achieved
this year. This summer we have offered 6 weeks of evening classes but are only
charging for 5 weeks, this way there is a built in make-up week so you can
still have a fun family vacation!

We are also offering two weeks of “princess camps” through
the Auburn Arts, Parks and recreation department. Click here to register
through the city’s online registration. ($75 Auburn resident/ Dance clothing is
recommended but not required, so feel free to send your princess to match the

Fall recommendations & Schedule: We are finalizing our fall draft currently, and class recommendations will be ready on June 1st for all of our dance students. CDT is happy to announce that tuition is not changing next year!!! We do have to raise the registration fees slightly ($25 for a single student/$40 per family) however we are happy to offer our usual pre-registration discount again this year. Enroll before July 1st and save 50%.

Costumes are the big change, in the past we have been able to include sales tax with the costume fee however we can no longer afford to do this with rising costs from manufactures. So the prices will stay the same, we just have to add sales tax, so for example $55+tax.

Tights will also be handled differently. In the 2012/2013 school year each accounts that is participating in the PFP show will be subject to a tight charge in April. CDT will continue to order and distribute them as need. The reason for this change is again, rising costume cost from the manufacture but also we have many older students needing more than one type of tights to accommodate the many costume changes. The tight fee will be our typical price of $8 + tax for footed tights, and $12+ tax for convertible, per color.

CDT may also access a shipping fee for those accounts that enroll later in the year (end of Feb/March) and those costumes have to be ordered individually.
